SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled left wing Jamie McGinn from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
McGinn has played in 25 games with San Jose this season, posting five goals (5-0=5) and 12 penalty minutes.
With Worcester, he has posted six points (3-3=6) and a +6 rating in five games.
The six-foot, 185-pound native of Fergus, Ontario native was originally selected by San Jose in the second round (36th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. |

| It's possible McLaren could be here awhile...San Jose has a couple of guys (Staubitz and Shelley) almost ready to play. And because McLaren fills the role both of those guys do, it seems like he may odd man out in SJ. |

| And they are back again (McGinn and Mclaren) as of 12.23 to enjoy the holidays in Worcester which is surprising because I thought there was a NHL roster freeze for the holidays. Not sure we will get to see them this weekend as San Jose returns to action saturday. |

| There are a couple of exceptions to the roster freeze, one of which is having to get below the salary cap because of players coming off of LTIR...this must mean that Shelley will be activated soon. |

| McGinn and Demers posteed to our roster as of yesterday. Don't appear to be recalled yet although SJ plays Edmonton tongight. Would be a nice addititons to the lineup this weekend if they stick. |

Thats still not so bad. Hope Vesce is ready to go but I am sure they will be extra careful before putting him back in the lineup.
It will be interesting to see what they do if Staubitz and Shelley are both fully healed. Current rosrter makup puts Leach in the lineup and no 7th dman. I wonder if they will try to waive either Shelley or Staubitz and send them to Worcester. McGinn seeems to have won a spot in their lineup. |

| Leach is playing tonight for SJ...I would bet that if they try and sneak someong through waivers it would be Shelley. The hockey folks in SJ seem to still be high on Staubitz and aren't likely to risk losing him. |

| Demers was assigned to Stockton of the ECHL. Im sure this is a paper transaction and nothing more. |

| Players have to report to the places they are assigned to...Demers was probably assigned to Stockton because they were worried about him getting to and from Worcester because of the snow storm. |
