it was announced in the game night handout The Assist that Mathieu Darche has received twice this award.in the Oct 14th edition it named him as the first ever player of the week.He received this for getting the first evr Sharks goal on 10/06/06 - Sharks vs Pirates. he Scored the 1st ever Worcester goal @11:11 in the 2nd period
assisted by Dan Sprang and Joe Paveiski also he got the goal that forced OT. in the Oct 21st edition he was also named
Player of the .week 10/14/06 - Scored the 1st home goal Sharks vs. Pirates. He was assisted by Michal Macho and Joe Pavelski in 2nd Period. He was as of 21st the AHLs leading goal scorer.
